Jeffrey Pearl – CEO

Jeffrey Pearl has a stellar track record of 30 plus years in the telecommunications industry, but it is his relationships with the Industry leaders and top performing sales execs that he considers his real success and ongoing asset.  He has alliances with all the top players and the value he can bring to the table for his business clients and Service Providers with those alliances are unsurpassed. Through unparalleled leadership and finesse, Jeffrey has a proven history of increasing momentum and accelerating large sales organizations.

Jeffrey is CEO and Founder of OTG Consulting as well as CEO and Founder of PearlCom.  OTG is a consortium of some of the Industries top Executives focused on advising and consulting to SMB and Large Enterprise Business Customers.  PearlCom is a consulting firm focused on supporting service providers and MSP’s deploying VoIP platforms, Go-to-Market Strategies, Channel Development, Sales Management, Recruiting and Exceleration.  In addition, Jeffrey is involved in multiple Boards advising Executives on Strategy, Technology and Charitable events.

Previous to that, Jeffrey was at Broadsoft, where he was responsible for North America Carrier Sales, Global Channel Acceleration and built an Enterprise and Strategic Sales Channel.

Prior to that, he co-founded IP5280 Communications, a cloud based IP communications provider focused on delivering converged IP voice, video and data services to business customers. IP5280 was awarded Technology services of the year  by CTA , was on the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies and was awarded one of The Best Companies to Work for in Colorado several years in a row.

IP5280 was acquired by MegaPath. Jeffrey took the role of SVP of sales at MegaPath and lead a refocused effort on VoIP and other cloud based services. Before IP5280, Jeffrey Co-founded, LineSider Communications, which specialized in secure VoIP communications,The VoIP Services were sold to Centric Voice and the remainder of the company was purchased by Cisco. Preceding Linesider, Jeffrey was CEO and previous to that EVP of Sales and Marketing with ICG Communications, a publicly traded CLEC, and a pioneer in Hosted VoIP services. As CEO, he successfully executed the sale of the company. He also held senior roles at Qwest Communications with responsibility for Direct and indirect revenue streams. In this role he hired 700 sales execs inside of a year, growing the organization to close to 3,000 employees. He held Senior Sales Executive roles at Frontier Communications and Worldcom Communications.

Susan Hartley – Partner

Susan Hartley is a communications technology executive with proven success in leading sales and sales support organizations and delivering results. Her transformational leadership has been instrumental in enabling businesses across the country to prosper with integrated, advanced IP-enabled network, cloud, hosting and IT services.

Most recently as Vice President-Commercial/Enterprise Inside Sales at CenturyLink, Susan led a team of more than 350 employees responsible for half a billion dollars in revenue for CenturyLink each year. Through her ability to coach, lead, inspire, manage and build outstanding teams, she significantly increased sales production and sales professional productivity while rolling out an expanding portfolio of advanced technology solutions for large businesses.

Over her three decade + career starting as a  Directory Assistance Operator in 1978, Susan has held leadership positions of increasing responsibility in sales, customer care and marketing. As Vice President-Sales and Care from 2011 to 2013, she continued to drive improvements in sales volume and sales productivity while successfully integrating and transforming sales organizations brought together through the merger of CenturyLink and Qwest.

Susan has earned numerous awards and performance recognition throughout her career, including CenturyLink’s Circle of Excellence, Leadership Excellence, and membership on the Mile High United Way Board of Directors. She has been a member of the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center Board of Directors since 1993.

Tim Sisneros – Industry Advisor

Tim Sisneros has over 28 years in Evolving Communication Technologies, including 16 years building successful relationships in telecom channel network. His 10 years at Polycom exposed him to great insights and understanding of the various providers in the VoIP and Unified Communications market.  In addition to this, his time at various service providers (MCI, Qwest, Level3) he has gained great knowledge as to why and how each provider brings a unique fit for you as a consumer of various services.

He was part of the initial team that started the Qwest Business Partner Program back in 1997 and helped Level 3 with their initial partner efforts in 2002. He has strong personal management skills with proven success managing large, multi-disciplined projects including all phases of planning, implementation, and closeout. He managed IT automation and e-commerce projects related to efficiencies in process and procedures and has a great reputation in the industry.  He has specialization and focused skills in Business Development, Partner/ Indirect Channels, Implementation and project management, E-Commerce expertise, process management, including 12 years managing various teams in operations and sales capacities.

Tony Bloom – Partner

Tony Bloom’s successful 30+-year career has included executive management and strategic development experience with many of the best telecommunications and Cloud providers in the industry.

Tony was recently employed at BroadSoft where he was the Regional Vice President for the newly started Enterprise Sales business unit where BroadSoft is looking to expand into the mid-market and enterprise market segments through new channel sales efforts.

Prior to BroadSoft, Tony was Vice President for Enterprise and Channel sales at Cloud Managed Service provider MegaPath who was acquired by GTT Communications in 2015, where he was responsible for U.S. Enterprise sales. While at GTT, Tony expanded

Before GTT, Tony served as the Vice President Global Partner and Wholesale Groups at fiber optic-based network solutions provider, Sidera Networks and Vice President of Marketing and Channel Sales for international VOIP carrier, iBasis before being acquired by Royal KPN N.V., the national carrier of the Netherlands. Tony was instrumental in the reorganization of the business units and in developing the marketing efforts to transform the industry’s business practices.

Prior to joining iBasis, Tony was responsible for the Enterprises sales activities of MCI Communications, where he held various management positions in Sales, Service, Business Development, and Channels where he directed the MCI partner sales for the U.S. before its acquisition by Verizon. Tony was responsible for the successful development of MCI’s U.S. Commercial market channel program and for the acquisition of many new regional partners. Tony also held a variety of senior business and sales management positions while at MCI, playing a key role in the company’s North East U.S. operations as the telecommunications carrier grew.

Tony started his professional career at Cable and Wireless Communications Inc. which was a subsidiary of London based Cable and Wireless PLC. Tony started out in sales and quickly moved into management where he was promoted to many senior sales management positions within the fast-paced telecom company. During Tony’s tenure, he was known for his uncanny ability to successfully manage start-up markets and for turning around unsuccessful branch operations in markets in the U.S.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and was involved with the American Liver Foundation Marathon team and a variety of community programs in the greater Boston area.

Michael Fair – Partner

Michael Fair has over 30 years of Executive Management roles specializing in technology, cloud and telecommunications. Currently Michael also operates as Founding Partner of MarketRace, a globally recognized Channel and Alliance consulting company. Prior to re-starting MarketRace in 2016, Michael was Vice President of Channel Sales and National Accounts for Charter Business. Fair joined Charter Communications, one of the nation’s largest cable companies, after leading the partner program at One Communications, including managing through the sale and integration into Earthlink Business. Previously, Fair founded MarketRace in 2001. Prior to MarketRace, Michael was Vice President of Strategic Partners for the Qwest Communications Business Partner Program which he initiated. Michael holds a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and an MA in International Business from the University of Texas.

John Scarborough – Partner

John is an innovator at heart, playing a pivotal role in the early introduction of several technologies that are the norm today: the Internet, IP Security, HDTV, DVRs and VoIP technology. As VP of Marketing for MCI, and SVP and CMO for Qwest, Echostar and MegaPath, he has been recognized in everything from the Wall Street Journal to the Denver Post. He later co-founded LineSider Communications and IP5280 Communications. Each of these roles required John to lead, define and manage the sales, marketing, operations and overall user experience associated with the product development and service delivery efforts. Most recently, John founded Silicon STEM Academy, a new new-concept STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education after-school program specialized in teaching computer programming, robotics, electronics and digital media to middle, high school and adult learners. While John isn’t coding or hanging around at SSA, he enjoys playing guitar as a part of an acoustic trio, mountain climbing (summited Mt. Rainier in August’15), snowboarding and being with his family.

James Mills – Partner

Jim King – Chief Financial Officer

Jim King is responsible for Finance and HR functions drawing on 20+ years of experience in finance, mergers & acquisitions, treasury, banking, planning, and operations for both public and private companies. Jim is a graduate of the University of Denver, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Jim’s past experience includes positions as CFO of Denver based IP5280 Communications, where he co-founded the company and led several acquisitions prior to the sale of the company in 2012. He also held Sr. Director of Finance positions at MegaPath Inc. and Qwest Communications, where his teams were responsible for finance and sales operations functions supporting domestic and international offices.

Jim Mueller – Chief Marketing Officer

Jim has over 20 years of sales & marketing experience, many of which have been in the technology industry. More recently, Jim has gained valuable experience in the digital marketing space through his previous company The Great Online and most recently, Maestros of Marketing. Currently, as a digital marketing agency insider, Jim helps companies Generate Leads, setup & optimize CRM-Marketing Automation systems and save them time & money by negotiating with and managing their existing vendors.

David Byrd – Chief Creative Officer

David Byrd is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer for Raven Guru Marketing. Previously, he was the CMO and EVP of Sales for CloudRoute responsible for sales and marketing. Prior to CloudRoute, Mr. Byrd was CMO at ANPI, and CMO & EVP of Sales at Broadvox. He also served as VP of channels and Alliances for Telcordia and Director of eBusiness development with i2 Technologies.

As CEO of Planet Hollywood Online, he pioneered the launch of a branded entertainment and eCommerce website company. During his thirty-year telecom career, he has held executive positions with Hewlett-Packard, Tandem Computers, Sprint and Ericsson.

Mr. Byrd earned a bachelor’s degree in music with a mathematics cognate from Michigan State University. David has represented the IT and Telecommunications industry as a speaker, writer and thought leader and has spoken to audiences around the world.

David Cuthbert – Partner

David Cuthbert is an experienced Executive Leader with CEO experience in the private, public, and non-profit realms.  David is the Principal at Blue Wave Consulting. Blue Wave Consulting focuses on business plan development, strategic planning and execution, and technology integration. David was the Chief Executive Officer at Alteva from October 2006 to March 2014. Alteva (now Momentum) was a premier provider of hosted Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) that significantly enhances business productivity and efficiency.

He is widely sought out as a cloud technology expert, with an emphasis on communications services.  David has expertise in operational and strategic planning and execution, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, public investment markets, and executive leadership.  Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Cuthbert spent nearly 10 years working internationally as a Naval Special Operations Officer.  In this role he gained extensive technical and leadership experience.

Dan Conrad – Partner

Dan is a veteran IT, Telecom, and Data Center senior executive with more than 35 years’ experience. He has worked with nearly every product and service in the technology stack. His experience includes leadership responsibility for sales, marketing, go-to-market strategy, as well as field and technical operations teams. He was formerly VP of Business Services for Time Warner Cable, helping build their first commercial services venture. Dan spent 25 years at AT&T achieving the position of VP of Business Sales for Wisconsin and Iowa middle markets. He recently retired as VP/GM of Business Services for Armstrong Group of Companies a privately held cable MSO and technology firm. Besides having a solid understanding of information technology, telecom, wireless, and data center technology, Dan’s expertise is in building and managing sales, marketing, and go to market teams. Dan obtained certification from the Department of Defense and was awarded a Top Secret – Crypto Security Clearance. He graduated with a BA degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa, with graduate studies in Management Information Systems at Southern Methodist University and Keller School of Business Management. He is currently President and CEO at Accrue Knowledge Brokers, a technology consulting firm.

Amy Slater – Partner

Amy Slater, Founder and CEO of Amy Slater Consulting, has more than 25 years of leadership and global sales experience, with an unyielding focus on customer value and expertise in business and marketing transformation through technology.

Her mission is to improve and transform culture wherever she is. She has a passion for helping and empowering people, to get extraordinary results and ultimately grow revenue. Prior to joining Rovi in August 2014, Amy was Sales, Group Vice President for Media, Entertainment, Telecom, and Technology at Acxiom Corporation. Before Acxiom, Amy was Vice President, Enterprise Corporate Sales for Salesforce.com, where she developed and managed teams to generate revenue and achieve individual, team and organizational quotas. She contributed to field sales strategy, defined and implemented plans for an assigned region to exceed enterprise sales targets. Prior to Salesforce.com, Amy worked at Cisco, with responsibility for hiring and training sales teams who sold Cisco solutions across core platforms, collaboration solutions, video as well as advanced and emerging technologies such as WebEx and cloud offerings. Her portfolio of expertise also includes over 15 years in telecommunications sales and sales leadership with companies such as Cable and Wireless, Qwest and AT&T.

Amy is a sought after speaker in the Bay Area who delivers messages on building your professional brand and leading through the cultivation of culture. Amy was a keynote speaker at the 2014 Forrester research conference in San Francisco, a panelist at the Domo Women in Business Tour: Executive Series, a keynote speaker at the 2016 Apttus Accelerate Conference in San Francisco, and a featured speaker at LinkedIn’s Sales Connect Conference 2016. She is a member of Advancing Women Executives (AWE) and Women in Technology International (WITI).

Amy is an Amazon best-selling author of Moments: Magic, Miracles, and Martinis. How to move forward in time of uncertainty. She holds an undergraduate degree in political science and economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She and her three daughters live in the Bay Area.

Michael Sterl – Partner

A visionary in the telecom world, Sterl has spent more than a decade working in the indirect channel, most notably as the co-founder and executive vice president of sales for SimpleSignal, a Unified Communication Service Provider. He also served as the regional vice president of channel sales at Vonage Business after the company acquired SimpleSignal in 2014. Today, as co-founder and CEO of Carve Digital, Sterl and his team provide marketing-as-a-service for service providers, partners and master agents. Leveraging sales enablement tools, data-driven strategies and inbound marketing campaigns, Carve Digital helps clients improve ROI through strategic initiatives that drive revenue, empower sales teams and develop deeper relationships with customers.

Thomas Muller – CTO

Tom joins OTG Consulting with a wealth of experience to this CTO position from a broad variety of roles in Sales, Technical Engineering and Business Development in a career spanning over 30 years. He is a highly effective, customer focused executive with extensive experience in UCaaS, Cloud and WAN Network disciplines. Tom has demonstrated highly effective leadership having held Executive positions at several leading Telecom and Technical companies including AT&T, Qwest, MCI, Savvis, MegaPath, Siemens and also Digital Equipment Corporation. Most recently, Tom was President and CEO of Hayden Consulting providing technical consulting in IP Convergence, UCaaS and Business process improvement. Tom was a founding partner, Sr Vice President, of Linesider Communications where he launched a National VoIP Product offering. In his five years at Qwest Communications, he ran their 500 employee National Sales Engineering organization as Vice President of Sales Engineering. He also brings a strong end user customer perspective having been Director of Networking at FTD. Tom has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA in Finance/General Management from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Tom resides in both Naples, FL and Nashville, TN with his wife.

William Santos – Advisor

As President of HOSTING, Bill provides the direction and management of all sales and marketing operations to accelerate HOSTING growth initiatives, as well as leading the forward-looking Advanced Solutions unit. During his tenure at HOSTING, Bill also launched its Professional Services business unit. Prior to HOSTING, Bill launched the services division for SHI, a $6 billion software and hardware retailer. During his tenure, Bill established SHI’s overall service vision and strategy, including lifecycle services, software enablement, datacenter consulting, cloud computing services, and long-term contract services. Previously, Bill served as Director of Strategy and Innovation for IBM Global Services where he spearheaded business and technical development activities with Xcel Energy. Bill also started Atlantec Group, a technology services company that he subsequently sold to a private regional VAR. Bill holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from MIT.
