Everyone and their brother are now selling SD-WAN

SD-WAN will do to MPLS networks what hosted VoIP is doing to the PBX and PRI! It is just another one of those technologies, “leapfrogging” what is currently in the market.

SD-WAN allows for the best disaster recovery I have seen to date. This is not simply a fail over, where one internet connection drops and a redirection to another connection happens. This technology utilizes multiple connections simultaneously. It’s incredible to watch a demo, you can pull your “main” internet connection in the middle of a VoIP call and not even hear a clip, blip or garble (not technical, but you know what I mean) It really is amazing! I have seen it fail over to LTE and still work well! Imagine what the new 5G networks will bring! Wireless as a primary?

This new SD-WAN technology allows for as classification of data traffic. You can give your business users Voice priority over listening to their Pandora.

The reporting capabilities are an amazing tool for the IT professional. You know exactly where your bandwidth is going FB, LinkedIn, YouTube etc……

Here is the challenge… many of these offerings look similar. Many of them are the exact same technology, with just a slightly different marketing spin. This is not unlike Hosted VoIP offerings, most larger providers are using Broadsoft. Those smaller providers using their own proprietary platforms have similar if not the exact same features. This is where OTG Consulting comes in. We at OTG are working with all the providers, large Telcos as well as the”boutique” firms. As we see multiple quotes per week as well as multiple implementations. We know who does well and gives their customers and ours, the “White Glove” treatment. This can change as companies grow or go through changes. All of the mergers occurring around us are definitely changing the make up of the Carriers and service providers. This will accelerate as “The Death of the PSTN” continues to roll forward.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
